Mark Shapiro
Mark Shapiro began his real estate career in his home town of Baltimore in 1978. He soon became inspired by the idea of rehabilitating properties in blighted areas as a business opportunity and as a way to promote community development. Through this pursuit, Mark developed a specialty in sales and leasing of unique and sometimes obsolete commercial and industrial properties. His interest in real estate rehabilitation and adaptive re-use led him to a ten year position with Baltimore-based developer Struever Bros., Eccles & Rouse, Inc., where he rose to the position of senior development director and vice president of brokerage services.
Mark established The Shapiro Company in 2000 to provide brokerage and development services to his former and future clients. Mark has a Masters Degree in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University and has won several awards for his creative approach to real estate projects.
